Laelette

In your journeys in Skyrim when you spend some time in Morthal, involving quest Laid to Rest, amongst many characters you meet Laelette.

Unfortunatelly you and Laelette will not enjoy each other for long.

The first and last interaction with Laelette is limited to only one - Laelette will attack you in Morthal cemetery when you both are searching for Helgi.

Who then Laelette is?

She is a vampire and servant of Alva. She used to be wife of Thonnir. After Alva (also vampire) turned her she spreaded rumours (especially because of her husband was searching for her) that Laelette escaped with Stormcloaks.

When Alva fell in love with Hroggar (and wanted to keep him as her servant and protector of her coffin forever) she commanded Laelette to kill his wife and daughter and make it look like an accident.

However Laelette failed to do it properly and instead she burned house with Hroggar´s wife and daughter inside. While burning Laelette´s heart moved and she tried to save Helgi, Hroggar´s daughter from death. She gave Helgi her vampire blood but it was too late and the girl died anyway.

Later Laelette became obsessed with Helgi and came to cemetery every night trying to bring Helgi back to life. And finally, that is where you and Laelette meet.

Benor

In a swampy and foggy town Morthal you can find your faithful fellow - Benor. This man helps guards to protect the town and when you meet him for the first time he will challenge you to a fight considering himself the best fighter in Morthal. If you win he will follow you on your travels when asked.

Usually you can meet him on a bridge neer Moorside Inn where he spends most of the day. In evenings he can be found in Moorside Inn. He sleeps in Guardhouse with town guards.

He is tough man using his muscles and any magic power is suspicious to him. Maybe for this he disapproves mage Falion´s presence in town as many others town folks.

Even with so though look as Benor has he has been proposed by Alva to begin a romance with her behind her man´s back. He refused.

That means except the point that he is an honest man that he is free for marriage if your character is a female.

If you marry him you can enjoy an advantage, very curious one in my opinion, to meet him in his house - in Guardhouse where he sleeps with guards (you must break in to do this).

Ysolda

When you go through Whiterun gates and follow the path to the marketplace among many people there you can meet Ysolda.

She is one of my favourite characters in Whiterun maybe because she is so keen on trading as well as I am. And because of her beautiful look as well. She is very serious about running a business. If certain Whiterun merchants die or get killed she takes over their businesses.

You may learn Speechcraft from her in exchange for Mammoth Tusk you bring to her (here I must confess I stole one for this purpose).

Ysolda can be married. Here I sometimes regret my Skyrim character is a female.
